Looney Toons  on VHS:   a retrospective
When VHS tapes became popular in the mid-1980's,  everyone eagerly awaited the release of  classic Warner Bros Cartoons.   And, we were not disappointed.
The first major collection released was the "Golden Jamboree", featuring a separate VHS cassette for each character.
First, Bugs Bunny's Wacky Adventures; then, Daffy Duck: the nuttiness continues.    Prior to the Golden Jubilee, previous videos were less impressive.   Usually, containing a few obscure cartoons.   But since, all Looney Toons VHS were splendidly organized  with their best cartoons.    Each compilation was given a unique title,  and the cartoons blended nicely together.
Today,  Looney Toons on DVD usually feature 50 animated cartoons (or more).
But, The old VHS collection was still very impressive,  in its day.

When Merrie Melodies played regularly on Turner Network Television,
audiences were treated to Prime-Time animation.
And, shortly thereafter, a great serious of VHS tapes were released.
Essentially,  all cartoons in the MGM/Loony collections were from the AAP days.
Meaning,  the cartoons were made prior to 1949.
and, they were usually released under Associated Artists Productions.
Three of those volumes include.
Bugs!  Elmer,  and the flawless Bugs Vs Elmer.
